Cho is a crafty, crafty witch. She knows well that a swish of her hair, a tear in her eye, or a small touch of a hand on a shoulder could bring most blokes to their knees, willing to do quite a lot for her. Her intelligence as a previous ravenclaw can be translated to many different places--such as her ability to manipulate, her intelligence and excellence in Transfiguration and potions, and her skill on a broom (of course not as good as Potter, but that isn't important, now, is it?)

She is very petty and often takes things to heart when she shouldn't and it isn't beyond her to use her feminine wiles to get what she wants in her end. An endless tease, she loves flirting, batting her eyelashes and smiling, watching how men react to her beauty and charm. Sort of narcissistic and obssessed with herself, Cho loves being the center of attention and is sometimes put off when she ISN'T the center of attention. She loved dancing with Cedric at the ball, loved being with the famous Harry Potter, but all good things must come to an end.

That is not to say that she could completley care less about people, that is untrue. She has the ability to form attatchments quickly, falling hard and fast for attractive men that are usually not that interested in her. It is a tragedy that she often ignores what is good for her and goes for what looks best.

Likes to bend the rules, especially when they bend in her favor. But she can be very strict with rules when it comes to people she dislikes, and even can have temper tantrums when she does get her way, such as when she threw down her broom when Gryffindor beat Ravenclaw after Harry and her quarreled and parted.

She can be very charming, sweet, and endearing when she wants to be, but also realize that that is not simply what is simmering under the surface with Cho. She is often thinking many things at once, reading how each situation could end up and benefit her in the end. For she truly does love to get her way.

personal history
Cho was born in Motherwell, Scotland, where she grew up with her muggle father and witch mother. She had the best of both worlds, she thought and loved her frequent visits to Diagon Alley when she was younger. She carried a sort of special secret inside herself all her young years and she loved knowing something that no one else knew.

It was easy to leave her muggle friends when she was accepted to Hogwarts. It was easy, mostly, because she had grown up aloof from her classmates, thinking herself a bit better than them because she was secretly a witch. When she got to Hogwarts, she was surprised she got into Ravenclaw, but didn't mind it, soon adapting to her new life with ease and agility. Making fast friends, Cho isn't the best judge of character, considering she was friends with Marrietta Edgecomb.

When her body began to blossom and she joined the quidditch team in her third year as the seeker, Cho's social life began to take on a new exciting light that it always deserved. Her natural beauty seemed enhanced in a quidditch uniform, and a light sheen of sweat on her face. And her sweet nature, with her shrewd skills inside the classroom-she was an insant favorite and created quite a circle of friends for herself. It also helped that she tragically recieved injuries often, and was sometimes bed-ridden, and had to miss games. Her weak ankles and slim wrists were broken easily with her slight form, which only seemed to bring her more attention when she was indeed injured.

It was fifth year when she attracted the attention of both Cedric Diggory and Harry Potter, but Cedric was so dreamy, and she could barely resist his charms. It was devasating when he died--she had been the closet one to him, being his girlfriend since the Yule Ball. Of course, she had grown to love him in those short months to his death, and even if the feelings were quick, they were every bit as real to her. It was only logical that she should take comfort in the runner up's arms. But it didn't work, Cedric was in her mind, and she could hardly concentrate on Harry (or control him, Cedric had been a bit less stubborn), that she had to end it. In her mind, she ended it anyways. Really she had simply shown her true colors--Marrietta had made a mistake and Cho had defended her, trying to plead her case, which only had angered Harry. Well, Cho didn't need him if he was going to be so...harsh. She then moved on to Micheal Corner, after Ginny dumped him.

The DA was an important time for her, but she honestly didn't take it that seriously. Defense Against the Dark Arts was not her best subject, and she did not like being in a situation that proved how horrible she was in that subject. It wounded her very ravenclaw pride. However, Harry had become a pretty good teacher, despite everything, and her patronus, a swan, was one of the best in the group. She really didn't take it seriously, mostly because she was still listless from Cedric's death, and could, in a very dramatic and romantic sense, care less what happened to her. Despite all sense, Cho Chang was a hopeless romantic, and having her lovely Cedric die at the clutches of a mad man served many a romantic fantasy that will stay with her always.

To Cho, the series of blokes after Cedric were more to boost her ego than anything else. She needed it, since he had died, considering he had truly been her first love. The first time she had truly had a geniune feeling about someone. Of course it helped he was popular, gorgeous and one of the Triwizard Champions, but then again, she knew it had to be something more than that. She just honestly couldn't tell you what it was.

Despite her skill with manipulation, she is best at manipulating herself, and she rarely understands why she does anything, really. Even she, herself, is a great mystery to her. Once she left Hogwarts, Cho had started playing for the Tutshill Tornadoes as a backup seeker. This wasn't exactly what she wanted to do after graduation, but because of her injuries and slight form, it was hard to play competitively. But she soon found something she was very good at--teaching quidditch. At least her shrewd eye and keen intelligence at reading plays helped her somehow, and she helped coach a junior quidditch league, actually making a good amount of money, and the children loved her, of course.
